If you wish to start a new career by becoming a fully qualified electrician, or are already qualified in another trade & wish to acquire a new skill / qualification - we offer full courses training, at fully-equipped UK training centres & on-site work experience. Our training levels will get you qualified quicker than a further education college.
The courses are tailored to suit every entry level, from complete beginner, with no prior experience - up-to trades professionals who are already part-qualified in another trade & wish to up-skill by adding another qualification to their work portfolio.
The courses are open to all adults 18yrs+ from all backgrounds, with little or no prior experience. We can help you become fully qualified - we offer the key levels 1 – 3 courses to study –
Each course is split into 4 main areas:
- Practical (in a ‘local’ training centre)
- Theory (in a class-room)
- Home Study (online & to retake exam modules)
- On-Site (national practical safe working sites, to obtain your signed portfolio-of-work).
Each course takes you from beginner, to fully qualified (both Theory & Signed Practical Portfolio) - providing a grounding in theory and technologies – covering qualifications from City & Guilds to NVQ including 18th Edition & Car Charging installation points.
Each course gives a ‘hands-on’ practical knowledge - regardless of the level. A detailed ‘blended’ learning program, gives the knowledge, skills and experience required to work efficiently and safely as a qualified electrician.
On successful completion of the City & Guilds exams, you can move-up-to an NVQ level with a signed on-site portfolio-of-work.
There is a unique opportunity to convert from a City & Guilds qualification to an NVQ, in 3 - 6 weeks.

Beginner Electrical Course

Advanced ‘Professional’ Electrician Course
Completing the beginner electrical course allows you to begin a new electrical career and progress further to the Advanced Electrician Course –
The advanced electrical course is designed for individuals who already have a working knowledge of electrical techniques & theory - qualified Level 2 electrician who wish to gain the NVQ Level 2 – 3 Diploma within a short time-frame / fast-track.
This advanced course assists candidates to become qualified quickly, so you can be separately working. You’re provided with all the support required to gain a plumbing NVQ with a portfolio-of-work.
Course Structure
- Initial Assessment - a brief assessment will give a chance to grasp current experience. An induction to show work portfolio, this can be done online if required.
- Theory Assessment - need to complete theory and practical assessments in a local training centre. This takes 2-3 weeks, this process is assessment only, no training.
- On-going Assessment - take place on-site and compiling a new work portfolio. Your assessor will assess the evidence gathered to date.
- Assessment submission - when the portfolio is complete, it will be submitted for final assessment.
- Qualify - when successful (you can retake modules, until a pass rate is achieved), will be awarded the Plumbing Level 2 qualification.

Electric Vehicle (EV) Installer course
The Electric Vehicle (EV) Installer course covers, installation of EV charging equipment for either domestic / commercial / industrial points. This course is designed for qualified electrical / renewable energy installers, who wish to add this qualification to their work portfolio – this is an expanding & growing market.
EV Course & Module – this EV charging point course qualification is designed for experienced electricians. It covers key skills to design & install both domestic & commercial EV charging points.
The course has been developed by established companies in EV charging equipment - on successful completion, candidates can be registered on a national database of EV charge point installers and be referred to local install jobs.
This qualification meets with the requirement for installers to register directly on the Government OLEV site - Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) grant scheme
Level 3 RQF award (C&G 2921-31) - all the knowledge and skills required to:
- Learn requirements for installing different types of EV charging equipment
- Tailor and install EV charging equipment at domestic / commercial / industrial points
- Organise regular Inspection & testing, and handover of EV charging equipment
- Pre handover test and fault finding
Completing the EV training; candidates will be assessed online with multiple choice & practical assignments.
EV entry requirements
- City & Guilds 2382 18th Edition Wiring BS7671 cert or equivalent qualification.
- Two years’ electrical experience
- Have a required qualification and experience in carrying out the Inspection and Testing of electrical installations - this is required to undertake a practical assessment.
